# When your Emplio Cloud usage runs out

> How the usage meter in the sidebar works, the emails you get at 80% and 100%, and how to get Emplio working again once it is paused.

Your usage is shown as a share of the month, not as money. When it reaches 100%, Emplio pauses until you top up or the month renews.

## The meter

The usage meter in the sidebar shows how much of this month's usage you've used, as a percentage.

| At | What happens |
| - | - |
| 80% | The owner and admins get an email. |
| 100% | The owner and admins get an email, and Emplio pauses. |

## While Emplio is paused

* A **paused** banner shows on the web.
* Emplio doesn't reply on the web or on any channel, Telegram included.
* Automations don't run. Each one shows a run that didn't happen, and why.
* Emplio's own tasks wait, then start once there's usage again.

## Get it working again

**1. Open Billing & usage**

The owner or an admin opens the account menu and clicks **Billing & usage**.

**2. Top up or upgrade**

Buy a top-up, or move to a bigger plan. An upgrade takes effect right away.

Or wait: usage starts again when your month renews.
