# Get started with Emplio in five minutes

> Sign up for Emplio Cloud or install Emplio on your own computer, sign in with an email code, and give Emplio its first piece of work.

You can use Emplio on Emplio Cloud, with nothing to install, or run it yourself for free. Pick one, sign in, and you are talking to Emplio a few minutes later.

> Enter your **Email**, then the 6-digit **Verification code** we send you, then your **Full name**.

> It asks for an [OpenRouter](https://openrouter.ai/keys) key, your email, and your web address if you have one.

> **3. Open your sign-in link**

> The installer prints a link that signs you in as the owner. On a computer, Emplio opens at `http://localhost:3000`.

Type what you need in the chat, the way you'd ask a colleague:

Emplio shows each step as it works, and asks you before it sends, changes or deletes anything in your apps.
