# Chase unpaid invoices every week

> Set up Emplio to check overdue invoices in Zoho Books or your own records every week and send polite payment reminders, run by an Invoice Chaser agent.

Goal: overdue invoices get followed up every week without you remembering to do it.

**You need**

* Zoho Books or Zoho Invoice connected, or your invoices kept in Emplio's [records](https://docs.emplio.app/guide/records.md).
* Gmail connected, to send the reminders.
* To be the owner or an admin. Only they can set up automations.

**1. Connect your accounts app**

Open your account menu, then **Integrations**, then **Browse**. Find **Zoho Books** or **Zoho Invoice** and click **Connect**.

**2. Ask once, by hand**

Which invoices are unpaid and more than 30 days overdue? List customer, amount and days late.

Check the list looks right before you automate it.

**3. Give the job its own agent**

Set up an Invoice Chaser agent for payment follow-ups.

The agent appears on the **Team** page under **Agents**. It keeps lessons from each job it does.

**4. Put it on a schedule**

Every Monday at 10am, have the Invoice Chaser check overdue invoices and email each customer a polite reminder.
```

Emplio saves this as an automation and shows a card asking you to allow what it will send on every run.

**5. Check what it may do**

Open your account menu, then **Automations**. Each automation lists the actions it sends or changes, with a switch for each. Anything not switched on is refused when it runs.

**What you get:** a run every Monday in its own chat, and a line or two in your main chat on what came of it. Routine runs with nothing for you stay quiet.
