# Track your leads in Emplio's records

> Make a Leads table in Emplio's built-in database, add leads straight from the chat, ask questions about them, and export the table to Excel.

Goal: one up-to-date list of leads that Emplio fills in as it works and you can open any time.

**You need**

* To be the owner or an admin to open the **Database** tab. Staff can still add and look up leads through the chat.

Memory, Database

**1. Make the table**

```text theme={null}
Make a Leads table: name, company, phone, city, source, status and next follow-up date.
```

**2. Add leads from the chat**

```text theme={null}
Add a lead: Priya Nair, Nair Caterers, Kochi, from IndiaMART, wants 50 kg rice a week.
```

Have an old spreadsheet? Attach it and say "Add everyone in this sheet to Leads."

**3. Ask about them**

```text theme={null}
Which leads haven't heard from us in a week?
```

**4. Open the table**

Click **Memory** in the sidebar, then **Database**, then **Leads**. Search, filter and sort the columns.

**5. Export to Excel**

Click **Export to Excel**. You get what's on screen, with your search and filters applied.

**What you get:** a real table Emplio reads and updates as it works, alongside orders, stock or anything else you keep.

> [!TIP]
>
> Turn on **Private** for a table staff shouldn't use, like salaries. Then only the owner and admins can use it.
